Encourage Yourself In The Lord

Encourage Yourself In The Lord Theirs only one thing I can do when my trials become overbearing. When the pressures of life smashes me to the ground and leaves me in fear. My physical strength is no match against the footprint that the prince has in my back. I try to get up, but it's like quicksand. The more I fight to free myself his print forces me into the ground. He warned me that I could not fight this battle alone. And that it is not won by might, but by His Spirit.
If I come into His presence the battle is already won. Don't be a fool He said "I am the only way." Pride and glory is of the prince and leads to Hades. But the humble and righteous man proceeds to paradise. Even the righteous man is not exempt from struggles and trials. My mind can comprehend, but the body is tired. Blow after blow I withstood; now my strength is turning frail. Pain is not the option, but exhausting is getting me fired up. Rage and frustration takes control, I close my ear to you. In you I put my trust, this is the right road. This road seems long and cold, but at the end is everlasting life. I continue to move because you I love and fear, But in distraught I should not be.
This is not right because even through the fire I should still have joy. If I continue on this way I will soon be out of breath and have lost the good fight. I heard the words of David in Psalms 42:5 "Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted in me? Hope thou in God: For I shall praise him for the help of his countenance." He spoke to his burdens and trials. Refusing to loose the fight against the enemy. He forced his weary soul by praising God in his storm to prevail. I see like the Apostle Paul, keeping my eyes on the prize. The beginning and middle at times appear unreal. But theirs everlasting joy at the end of the road that's long in size. I hide His promise in my heart which no one can steal, And when I get weary I remember how far He's brought me. And how He'll carry me where I need to be. Now when these storms come, I realize that it's not meant to dodge. But to press through and towards the mark. Ignoring the traps of the enemy, and holding on to the promise. The more I press forward and encourage myself in the Lord I get closer and closer to Him in the midst of the storm.
Theirs only one thing I can do when my trials become overbearing. When the pressures of life smashes me to the ground and leaves me in fear. My physical strength is no match against the footprint that the prince has in my back. I try to get up, but it's like quicksand. The more I fight to free myself his print forces me into the ground.
