The Power of Visualization - 3 Strategies to Turn What You Visualize Into Reality

An Ice Cream Sundae With Anchovies

As you read this vivid description of an ice cream sundae visualize, in your mind's eye, every tasty morsel, right down to the very last detail.

Start with a large scoop (or two) of the best, homemade, rich, creamy, sweet, ice cream. Ladle on delicious hot fudge, or caramel, maybe strawberry, and then sprinkle on nuts, or candy pieces, or maybe chunks of moist brownie. You choose. Next, add a mountain of smooth whipped cream. And now for the piece de resistance. You guessed it-Anchovies!

If you have a vivid imagination, you had no trouble visualizing this sweet, delectable treat. Even if your powers of imagination are limited or stymied, you still were able to imagine an ice cream sundae with fish on top. If you can imagine that, see it clearly in your mind's eye, even taste this concoction of conflicting tastes, you have the power within you to visualize and imagine anything and everything you want in your life.

Tip #1 - Make It Real

When you see something clearly in your mind's eye, it has the potential to become real. It creates a belief that allows for the vision to go from abstract to concrete, from a dream to a goal, and from a goal to achievement, success and joy. What you see or imagine must be vivid, precise, detailed and exactly what you want to achieve, receive, and believe. Add as much detail as you can, include everything from the size, the shape, the color, the location, the cost/price, everything. Make it as real as possible.

Tip #2 - Be in the Present

Whatever you are visualizing, intending to manifest in your life, must be seen in your mind in the present tense.You have to see it happening now, see yourself holding it in your hand now, see yourself getting the promotion or the pay raise now, or holding the love of your life in your arms now. If you see things in your future, you have just visualized something beyond your reach. The only tangible thing you have in your life is the now. The future may never come. Now is the key.

Tip #3 - Night and Day

The best way to visualize something into manifestation is to see it constantly, in the morning when you wake, at points throughout your day, and at night before you go to sleep. The good news is that it doesn't have to take every minute of your day. You can bring about change, positive, good change by spending 15-20 seconds thinking about and seeing the change you want and desire. That's all the time it takes but must be done often throughout your day, everyday until your desired outcome is at hand, until you have brought that outcome to fruition simply because you believed in the outcome and literally saw it through to reality.

Follow this tips and you will see your way to more joy, happiness, love, and success in your life.

Unleash the Power of Belief

You might sometimes wonder why you just did or said something. Actually there is an immense power deep in your subconscious mind that silently controls your thoughts and actions - your beliefs.

Each of us has our own unique set of beliefs and assumptions for virtually every aspect of our life, including money, success,
relationships, body image, intelligence, etc. The list goes on and on.

These beliefs actually run our lives. Why? Because of the power of beliefs we are deeply convinced that they are valid. In fact, we automatically assume they are valid without even thinking about it.

The nature of beliefs may seem a mystery, but they are basically simply emotion-packed thoughts you revisit over and over again. Any repeated thought builds strong physical neural networks in your brain. The thought then becomes an automatic subconscious pattern.

Once they become strongly engrained in our brain-based neural networks, we assume they represent reality and are beyond question. Most of us can get very defensive if someone (even our own self) questions our beliefs. So they remain unquestioned, and often just run right over any personal dream or goal that goes against them.

Thoughts Can Override Beliefs.

I discovered the amazing ability of a single thought to override a belief when I first began to use biofeedback in a clinical environment.

The wife of a prominent local surgeon came to me hoping biofeedback could give her relief from crippling back pain. Mrs. Roberts (not her real name) had been in a high speed car crash three years earlier. She had miraculously not broken any bones, but her back pain had never healed.

She hobbled into the clinic leaning heavily on a cane, and revealed a belief she would NEVER heal from the back trauma caused by the accident (she was driving, and her best friend had died in the crash).

I attached sensors to her back, and we both observed the muscle-related EMG spikes as she painfully tried to move her legs. then I hooked up sensors to her arm, and had her tense and relax her muscles. She saw the clear difference between relaxed and tensed muscles on the screen.

Then I suggested that her back pain "might" be muscle bracing that had become a chronic habit. I proposed an experiment during which she would just think about allowing her back to relax.

I placed the EMG sensors on her back and turned the screen away from her as she began to think about allowing her back to relax. Sure enough, the spikes reduced dramatically.

I froze the screen and rotated it so she could see the results. Her jaw dropped. The power of her thoughts HAD actually reduced the chronic muscle spasms in her back.

I asked her how her back felt. She was even more amazed. It had begun to warm as her circulation was partially restored. After only three biofeedback sessions she was able to release her muscle spasms with a single thought.

A few weeks later the cane was gone and she considered herself totally cured from her pain. Actually, what happened is that she cured herself from a crippling belief (I don't think I'll ever heal) with a single powerful THOUGHT of relaxing the muscle spasms in her back.

Old beliefs CAN be replaced with success-affirming positive thoughts.

Put This to Work in YOUR Life.

Here's how to control the power of belief in your life. Most of your self-limiting beliefs had their beginning in your early childhood from negative judgements of your elders. Replacing the resulting limiting beliefs requires dealing with the subconscious ANTs (Automatic Negative Thoughts) now attached to those beliefs.

If you do have limiting beliefs, your ANTs will constantly reinforce that belief. The only solution is to create new positive beliefs to replace the old negatives.

Here is a major insight to remember: It does not matter if you truly do believe your new positive beliefs at first. Your mind is a creature of habit. The more often you focus on your new positive beliefs, the faster they will be stored on brain-basedl neural networks. Your neural networks are like paths through a meadow. Left unused, the neural networks holding your limiting beliefs will gradually disappear and be replaced by the new networks you are installing.

The Power of Forgiveness - 5 Steps to Get Rid of Anger and Unforgiveness

It is common for people to harbor anger about someone in their lives. The reasons for anger may vary from person to person, but usually what is common about all of them is that the people feeling the anger cannot let themselves to forgive and forget. For some people, this anger may stem from serious issues such as abuse or assault while in others it may be due to minor issues. If you harbor anger towards a particular person in your life, it may be time to forgive.

There are many reasons why you may hold on to the anger. You may think that you are hurting the person by being angry. But does it really hurt the other person? No, it does not. It only hurts you. So why hold on to anger? It is better to get rid of the anger within yourself and forgive. Here are 5 steps to help you on your path to true forgiveness.

1. Examine why you are angry

There must be a reason why you are angry at someone. Unless you are dealing with an issue of assault or abuse, it may be difficult for you to pinpoint the real reason of anger. Once you find what that root cause is, you can go about finding the solution to deal with it. Think about ways to make the situation better. If it is possible, try to find positive things about the person instead of focusing on the negative. If you find it intolerable to be with the person, think about what you can do avoid him for a short time.

2. Don't be the Victim

When you hold on to the anger against someone, you are the victim. To stop being the victim any longer, you have to think about what you learnt from your experience with the concerned person. When you decide to learn from the experience, not only do you grow as a person, you also allow yourself to stop the vicious cycle of unforgiveness and resentment.

3. Letting it Go

After you decide that the bad experience with a specific person is something you have learnt from, you have to let it all go. For this, you need to tell yourself again and again that what happened is past and nothing will make it affect your present and future.

4. Meditate

Think about the person you want to forgive in a meditative state. Allow yourself to think about him with compassion in your heart.

5. Pray to God

Turn the whole thing over to God and ask him to allow you to not be the judge of that person.

Just imagine that your success is on the way, and you are talking about how it`s not going to happen, how you will never get the right things in your lives. May be you are a couple of months away from seeing the answer you are waiting for, maybe you have been praying or expecting good results in a specific sphere of your life. But right before it happens, you start verbalizing wrong words and the good things around you stand still.

The Good news is that the breakthrough is still in your future, nothing has been cancelled and if you get rid of all your doubts and activate your faith, you will get the right things at the right time.

Some things look impossible but impossible does happen in this world. Just because you don`t see anything happening doesn`t mean nothing is happening behind the scenes. Right now, behind the scenes, God is planning your future. He will move out obstacles out of your way and put the right things at right place.

Don`t invite defeat and mediocrity in your life. Pay attention to what you are attracting into your life through your words. You may not feel healthy today but you have to say that you are healthy, you may not feel confident, but you have to call yourself confident. The circumstances may not say that you are prosperous but you have to say by faith that you are prosperous. If you can`t say anything good, don`t say anything at all. Don`t let your negative words keep you from God`s best. If you stop talking defeat, you will certainly see victory in every aspect of your life.

Use Prayer Power to Get Rid of Worry

Though prayer has a religious connotation, the truth is that praying has nothing to do with religion. People pray when they are sad, lonely, angry or frustrated. Lots of people pray to a particular god, but atheists pray as well. Praying does not mean that you have to do it with an image in mind, but it is a means of getting in touch with your mind intimately. If you feel overwhelmed with feelings of worry and stress, then it is a good idea to utilize the power of prayer.

When your life is not going the way you want it to, the power of prayer can help you. If you believe in God, pray to him. If not, pray for help to a higher power. You can pray for events to turn in a way beneficial to you or for an outcome to go a certain way. The reason why doing this helps is because it brings forth your positive energy and helps you to overcome the problems of life.

Meditation is nothing but praying. When you clear your mind of all negative thoughts, you give yourself the power to think positively. Meditation is a form of prayer that is very effective in clearing the mind of all worries and tensions. Practicing meditation for 10 minutes a day will have a positive effect in your practical life. Everyone of us is expecting good in his life. It may be that you are looking for a high-paying job, a life partner or the progress of your kid in school. I want to tell you that praying does help when you do it with all your heart.

A lot of the times, people do not pray because they want something. They just want to connect with almighty God. Praying is a wonderfully effective way of freeing yourself of worry and stress. When you do this, you automatically are taking out time to be with your thoughts.This ultimately helps you get rid of the worries you have. As said before, prayer means different things to different people. It is obvious that there is no right or wrong way to do it. You just have to do it in a way you feel good about yourself.
