Your Inner Strength

Your inner strength is where you draw your power from. It could be from past experiences that you learned from, it could be from faith in yourself, or from your faith in your religion. Your inner strength is constantly evolving.

As the New Year approaches you anticipate the changes that this New Year will bring forth. We have watched firsthand the furry that the force of nature carries. We have seen the acts of evil firsthand and have grieved together as a nation. We have watched so many talented people leave us this year. We sit and wonder what will be next.

At a time when uncertainty fills the air, it occurred to me; this time is no different than any other. There has always been strife, somewhere, someplace, with somebody. We muster up our inner strength and carry on, that's the way it has always been and that's what we will continue to do.

We have seen the rise and fall of groceries and gas prices; we have all had good days and bad. So I say, don't worry. A rough day doesn't mean that it will always be this way, the situation is temporary. If things need to be changed, trust in yourself that you can and will make the necessary changes.

The fiscal cliff will come and go. Soon it will be yesterday's news. Whatever changes are made, you will adjust to them and you are smart enough to work a way through those changes.

The New Year brings about hope and a strong need for change. The hope starts within you and is carried outward to others. Ask yourself daily, with every situation and with every person that enters your life, "Is this going to move me forward?" The answer to this one question will bring about change. Once you find out the answer things will never be the same.

As we ring in the New Year we have our mind on what we want to see happen in the future. It doesn't matter if it's to quit smoking, a new diet, or a new career, it cannot be a temporary goal, you have to make it a permanent goal; in other words, you can't just forget about it, you have to take action in order for it to work.

As the New Year rings in it will breathe new life into us. It will revitalize our dreams and we will feel alive again. We will set new goals with much needed vigor. It is also a time to draw near to the ones that need us, to the ones that we have never met. We can all share something with someone; a trade, knowledge, or a helping hand. Giving does not just mean with money. I look forward to meeting new people and going to new places vowing to help those along the way. I pray you have a safe, healthy and Happy New Year.
